Spirituality Quadrant
FRS embraces spirituality as a reflection of the process of change, to gain better emotional control and to address drug use and other illicit behaviors. FRS supports spiritual awareness by assisting youth to find meaning and direction in their lives. FRS supports youth through their personal journeys to nurture feelings of belonging or connectedness; and their quest for wholeness, hope and harmony. FRS offers several therapeutic solutions that support youth to seek healing from a source that is not physical. These include:
- Art therapy
- Gardening
- Instrument Instruction
- Monthly community service activities (through its nonprofit arm-F.O.O.T)
- Music studio recording
- Music therapy
- Scrapbooking and
- Video recording
to facilitate a greater connection between the youth, their inner feelings and emotional responses and subsequently with others in the community. FRS also offers youth opportunities to participate in the meditative practice of Yoga. Here, youth learn to self-regulate more effectively in the present. Youth learn to accept love, peace and understanding through pursuit of their own Personal Legends.
